Fiberglass High Temp Tape

- Unit Of Measure:
- Per Roll (100ft Long)
High-temperature woven fiberglass tape is commonly used to insulate and seal boiler fire dampers, boiler joints, and gasket seals. Fiberglass insulation tape can be used on extremely hot pipes before fiberglass pipe insulation is installed to lower the surface temperature of the pipe. For personnel safety, high-temperature woven fiberglass tape can be wrapped around a high temperature (up to 1,000°F) pipe to prevent employees from burning themselves when they bump into or touch the pipe.
Pipe Install:
The fiberglass insulation tape should be spiraled around the pipe making sure to overlap itself to prevent gaps. It is recommended to loop, tie, or band the end of the tape onto the beginning of the pipe to allow a tight spiral. When finished cut the tape with a knife or scissor and loop, tie, or band the tape to the pipe.
Rated for use on applications up to 1000°F.
Each roll is 100 feet long and the tape is 1/16" thick. Fiberglass insulation tape comes in 1", 2", and 3" widths.
*Note: This material does not have an adhesive backing as the term "tape" would imply. It is referred to as "tape" because it is flat compared to fiberglass rope which is round.

Fiberglass High Temp Tape
Very flexible and able to fit contours. Worked perfectly for our application to provide heat protection between materials.

Good for Very Hot Piping
Wrapped this tape around hot piping that run adjacent to work areas where risk of accidental burns was high. This tape holds together nicely when installed. I ran a length of 3" down the entire pipe and then wrapped with 2" in a spiral over it. This way the exposed side of the pipe has 2 layers of insulation.

Great Product
I used this for the piping within close proximity to my boiler. It gave it a professional look and is safer. I couldn’t be more pleased with this product!

Personnel Safety around hot oil lines
Great product! Easy to use and dropped the temperature on the hot oil line to an acceptable level for personnel protection.
*Tina, we are glad to hear the fiberglass tape made the piping safe to the touch. ~ BIP
