Green Glue Pattern Notched Trowel

The Pattern Notched Trowel can be used to spread Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound onto rigid materials including drywall, plywood, particle board, mdf board, etc.  Because of the Tube and Pail Dispenser application methods recommended for Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound, a larger bead of compound is preferred.  Standard compound trowels create beads of compound that are small and too close together which provide undesirable damping results.  From our testing, we found that V-Notch, U-Notch, and Square-Notch trowels did not provide equal results to dispensing from a tube or pail dispensing gun.  This square notch trowel is different and alternates between a 1/2" wide base bead to a 1/4" wide top bead which spreads Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound in a more natural pattern.

A trowel does not need to be used for Green Glue Noiseproofing Tubes.  Tubes are dispensed with a quart sized caulk gun.  A trowel may be used with Green Glue Noiseproofing Pails/Buckets as an alternative to the Green Glue Pail Dispensing Gun.
