Why is BIP Fiberglass Pipe Insulation 2x Green you may ask.  Fiberglass Pipe Insulation's main purpose is to reduce energy use which makes it a "Green" product.  The second part is that Fiberglass Pipe Insulation is made from approximately 50% Recycled Glass!  Fiberglass Pipe Insulation is also a product that can be recycled (still in its beginning stages).

The demand for recycled fiberglass insulation is currently through the roof, with manufacturers Owens Corning and Johns Manville leading the way by purchasing billions of pounds of glass each year.  Recyclers used to trash large percentages of glass sent to them due to the limited demand for recycled glass.  Things have completely changed with upwards of 90% of glass sent to recyclers being actually recycled into new bottles or fiberglass.
