The PVC Reducer 90° Fitting Cover has been offered on our site for a few years now and customers love this special item.  These same customers have asked why we don't offer a 45° and a Tee as well.  So our customers have asked and now we are proud to announce that we stock reducer fitting covers for 90°s, 45°s, and Tees!

PVC Reducer Tee Fitting Cover

Reducer 45° PVC Fitting Covers fit over 45° elbow joint pipe fittings which must accommodate different sized pipes at each end of the elbow. They’re called “Reducers” because they accept larger pipe from one angle and smaller pipe from the other. The items’ names use standard PVC cover sizings (see sizing chart here, but start with an “R” for “Reducer”.

Reducer 45° PVC Fitting Covers are split in half, so they always come in pairs (Left & Right). #R10 and #R11 will reduce #10 and #11 pipes to pipes as small as size #3, while #R12 and #R13 will reduce #12 and #13 pipes to pipes as small as size #7.

Pre-marked cutting lines let you trim the PVC reducer elbow joint pipe fitting cover to the desired reduced size. So, for example, #R13 will reduce #10 pipe to #9, #10, #11, #12, or #13 after you cut off some of the reducing cone, or will reduce all the way to #7 without any cutting.

Size Examples:

To reduce 2" pipe (at 45° angle) to 1" pipe, and 1" thickness of pipe insulation is being installed, order #R11 (going with the result for the larger-sized pipe on the PVC Fitting Size Chart). Cut one side of the reducer cone completely off and cut the other end's reducer cone to size #9 (following the markings).

To reduce 3" pipe (at 45° angle) to 2" pipe, and 1" thickness of pipe insulation is being installed, order #R13 (again, referencing the larger-sized pipe’s PVC fitting size). Cut one side of the reducer cone completely off and cut the other end's reducer cone to size #11, following the markings.
