ASJ Max 25'er Tape is made of the same material used as the jacketing on the new Owens Corning ASJ Max Fiberglass Pipe Insulation, JM Microlok HP ULTRA, and Knauf ASJ+. We recommend ordering an extra roll of ASJ insulation tape for large pipe insulation projects or any pipe insulation jobs requiring numerous cuts between fittings (need extra tape).

Works great - a must when insulating
Good quality and worked as needed. Highly recommend ordering this for your insulation project. Each fiber glass tube comes with complimentary strips for the ends and joining two tubes, but its good to have a role on hand just in case more is needed.

The right tape for the job
This is expensive tape, and you have to apply it correctly by rubbing it in, but it is the right tape for the job and blends nicely with the covering on Fiberglass pipe insulation.

The order comes with one correct-sized tape per pipe insulation unit, but that wasn't enough.
There were a lot of quirky places where some end-covering or other cosmetic fixes were needed.
So I'm glad I had a roll of tape.

Pretty handy tape.
Even if you don't anticipate needing this for your install, I imagine it would be good to have a roll of this to repair any damage your insulation installation may pick up in the future. A lot of the pipe I insulated is in my basement, and there is a fair amount of people wandering in and out of there.... eventually something will get snagged and/or ripped, and this product will be handy to have around to fix it!
