Kinetics IsoMax Clips
Kinetics IsoMax Sound Isolation Clips are part of an isolation system which helps decouple a new wall/ceiling from the studs/joists in which they are attached to. Hat Channel is clipped into the Kinetics IsoMax Clips and drywall is fastened directly to the channel which runs perpendicular to the studs/joists. The soft neoprene rubber isolator cradles the hat channel and reduces the transfer of structure-borne noise (vibrations) to the attached channel. IsoMax Sound Isolation Clips offer significantly higher STC values than drywall attached to resilient channel. IsoMax Clips ensure that installers will not inadvertently screw through the “resilient” leg of the channel into the joist or stud. This feature cannot be underestimated given the frequent, unknown occurrences where resilient channel is accidentally rendered ineffective because it is hard attached.
