Green Glue Acoustical Sealant is an acoustic grade caulk that is used to seal joints and cracks in soundproof wall, ceiling, and floor systems. One of the most common reasons for noise issues in walls and ceilings is sound flanking through cracks and small crevices. These tiny air gaps allow sound to freely transmit from one side of the structure to the other. These air gaps are most commonly found around electrical outlets, light switches, and wall perimeters (bottom of wall behind trim molding).

Green Glue Acoustic Sealant - Awesome!
Purchased the 4 pack of green glue acoustic sealant to complete an acoustically decoupled wall that was installed. The sealant goes on quick, but you definitely want to use backer rod for larger gaps. Anything even slightly over the recommended size was bubbling and had to be redone. Worked well and finished the wall off nicely. No sound has been penetrating through it since installation.

Used 8 of these tubes for our soundblocking project on shared walls. We used green glue between the old and a new layer of drywall. Not sure if it was the green glue or the sealant that works, but it does.
